SUMMER TRIPLES COMPETITION 2026
With lovely, sunny weather, 24 players had a fantastic time in a competitive and exciting competition. Eight teams of three each were all vying for the Summer Triples Champions title in 2026.
After the draw, teams started the first round matches, and while some teams had more success than others, the winners advanced to the Semi-Finals, while those who lost their first round match moved on to a Consolage Semi-Final.
All the games were thrilling, with some nail-biting finishes leading to well-contested Finals. The eventual winners, who received their commemorative medals and prize money envelopes, were:
The Consolage team of Dave Plaistow, Alicia Clarke and Richard Wilson, who beat the family team of Michael Gray, Ollie Gray and Ann Dewhirst 13-11.
The Triples Finals was just as exciting, with the team of Anita Puffett, Dave Palmer and Clifton Gonsalves narrowly beating Cigdem Laity, Julie Dorey and Eric Kennedy 13-10.

Parley Volunteers have completed the installation of the new sleepers for No 1 Terrain.
What a fantastic job they have done particularly considering the heatwave !
Parley Players Qualify for Regional Finals
Dave Plaistow and Kevin Williams both from Parley, with their team mates, have qualified to play in the PE Inter-Regional tournament which will be held in Weston Super Mare in September.
After the qualification sessions Dave and his team came fifth and Kevin seventh in the eight team squad and will represent the Southern Region in the National Competition.
We wish them well and will be cheering them on.
