Inclusivity and Accessibility

Pétanque is, perhaps, the only sport where age and gender has no bearing on the quality of the game. It is a very simple game to learn but also a very technical game. Everyone can succeed to some level. You are welcome to bring family and friends to see what a wonderful inclusive sport this is. Our players come from across West Parley, Ferndown, Bournemouth, Poole and even Hampshire.

Our Commitment

We take great pride in our commitment to preserving the traditions and heritage of this timeless sport. Our values of sportsmanship, respect, and friendship permeate every aspect of our club, creating an environment where players of all ages and skill levels can come together to enjoy the game. Whether you are a competitive player seeking thrilling matches or simply looking for a leisurely game in a friendly atmosphere, Parley Pétanque Club welcomes you with open arms.

Coaching

Parley PC is a competitive club and everyone who wants to improve deserves access to quality coaching.

Coaching helps pétanque players sharpen technique, consistency, and decision-making.

A coach identifies subtle errors in stance, grip, and  release, turning average throws into reliable ones. Beyond skills, coaching builds tactical awareness—when to point, shoot, or change strategy—and strengthens mental focus under pressure.
It also accelerates improvement by providing structured practice and objective feedback, something hard to achieve alone.

Ultimately, good coaching turns experience into performance, helping players at any level gain confidence and play more intelligently.
